Millennium goals
Dare to dream …… Make it a reality!
In the year 2000 the government leaders of 189 countries came to an international agreement – before 2015 significant progress it to be made in tackling poverty, disease and famine. This has been translated into eight concrete aims: the Millennium Goals;
1. In 2015 extreme poverty and hunger will be eradicated.
2. In 2015 all boys and girls will go to school.
3. In 2015 men and women will have the same rights.
4. In 2015 far fewer children will be dying.
5. In 2015 fewer women will die through pregnancy and childbirth.
6. In 2015 the spread of diseases like AIDS and malaria will have been halted.
7. In 2015 more people will be living in a sustainable environment.
8. In 2015 there will be more fair trade, debt relief and aid.
With its educational support projects and associated public information campaigns, the Kunindi Foundation is helping to realize Millennium Goals 2 & 6.
